Alta Rossa is a sweet and cozy restaurant where a warm family environment eagerly awaits you. Gabriella Occhiuto, our executive chef and co-owner, grew up in a large family that welcomed guests who would casually drop by at lunch or dinner. Cooking for large crowds was not something new to her and when the time came for her and her sister Patricia to open up Alta Rossa, it only seemed natural.
Our Chef Gabriella Occhiuto is a member of the Association of Italian Chef's of Canada. She has been featured in Dolce Magazine as one of the top five chef s in Vaughan. She taught Italian Culinary at Vaughan Secondary High School. In 2001 she was invited to cook in Sardinia at the Chia Laguna Resort in Cagliari. She was also invited to be a feature chef in Portobello Restaurant one of the most acclaimed restaurants in Nuevo Vallarta.
